How to book your course

In general, you can book in person from Monday to Thursday, from 9.30 - 1.30pm, or by post. The point at which we start to take bookings varies from term to term. For January 2012 courses the new programme is available and we are now taking bookings.  More information about booking on a course is found here and here is a link to the booking form.

It may be possible to enrol at the first class, but we can't guarantee a place and it is advisable to pre-book well in advance of the start date as courses with very low numbers may be cancelled prior to the first session.

Important Notice - Due to Fire Regulations there are strict limits on the number of students per classroom. Some classes may also have limited student numbers for educational reasons. It is therefore advisable to enrol as early as possible.

Fees
Fees for courses must be paid in full at the time of booking. For postal bookings you will only receive a receipt confirming your enrolment if you enclose a SAE. In each course description you will find two fees quoted:

1) The full fee for the course.

2) Discounted: Multiple course discount - the full fee is reduced by 10%

If you are a full fee payer and attend two or more courses at the same time you can receive a discount on the second and further courses. The full fee is payable for the longest course.

In addition if you receive any of the following benefits you may be entitled to a fee concession:

- Job Seeker’s Allowance (income or contribution based)
- Income Support
- Employment and Support Allowance (income-related)
- Working Tax Credit & with a house-hold income below £15,276 a year
- Housing benefit
- Council tax benefit (but not Council Tax discounts)
- Pension Guarantee Credit only
- Asylum seekers in receipt of a letter from Asylum Support (AS) and who have been in the UK legally for 6 months
- If you are an unwaged dependant (as defined by Job Centre Plus) of someone who receives the means-tested benefits listed

You can also claim for help with essential books and equipment, trips, travel and childcare from our Learner Support Fund. If you're not on benefit but have a household income of under £15,276 a year you may also qualify for help. Help is limited to three courses a year. Enquire in confidence when you book your course.
