WEA News

Tuesday 25 November 2008 saw the culmination of the term's work for two classes run by the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) at Hurst House Adult Education Centre on Abercrombie Street, Chesterfield.

To an audience of fellow students, family and friends, students from the drama course at Hurst House performed 3 short plays written by the script-writing course members.  During the interval all enjoyed a buffet with the opportunity to watch the small screen version of the WEA "Christmas at Corrie" - a short piece this time not only written by but also performed, filmed and edited by the script-writing group.  The evening was enjoyed by all and an excellent achievement for both groups over a short period of time.
